Mr. Reed was training for Bloomsday one year. It was to be his first try at it. I was at some game, I don't remember what. Anyway, I got into a fight with my girlfriend and was all pissed off. I went storming out of the doors at the back of the school, y'know the big metal doors. I hit the door from the inside with a big ol' mad-as-hell push and just threw it open. I did not know that my baseball coach was just on the other side coming in. The door flew open and broke Mr. Reed's foot. Uh, sorry about Bloomsday Mr. Reed.
I dont do bloomsday, but i love to play hoopfest. Expecially when I get to play the older Prepy girls that dont like to be pushed around. i am playing this year!
I ran bloomsday my Jr. Year with couple of fellow track runner from St. george h.s...They were both distance runners, I was not. Jeremy Johnson was one of they kids I ran with, and he was like Mr. State champ in cross country and what not. I kept up with him for a mile and half....I think he finished somethin like in the top 100-200...I ran it in 45 minutes and finished just under 4000, just about 6 1/2 minutes a mile...Albeit, I was still 150 lbs then. Jeremy beat me by 5+ minutes...
Well I have done Bloomsday since 2000 and have been involved with hoopfest since 1996. I love doin both. Im goin to be a monitor this year and try to get to watch my kids play this year .
