So as Im sure many of you have heard, Mr. Villegas is retiring next week after, I think 29 years of teaching!! I know many of you have already posted great things about him under the "favorite teacher" spot. But I wanted to start a post that was a place for ya'll to write things specifically to Mr. Villegas!!! I guess I will start....
Congrats Old Man!! You have touched and changed so many lives. We all love you and all thank you!!! Love you!! Craig and Mollee
Mr. Villegas you are truly a great teacher and wonderful person. Congrats and thank you for all you gave to Selkirk High School and the community - you definitely are the reason so many of us Selkirk students were able to achieve great things in our lives. Have fun in retirement!!!!!!!!!!
You have inspired many minds at Selkirk and the years after many have left high school. You are a great person, teacher and rolemodel. Selkirk needs more teachers like you. I wish you well in your retirement, although I'm a little surprised it hasn't come sooner due to your old age! Just kidding, but seriously thanks for all you've given to all the students Selkirk has had. You are a wonderful man!
Wow - I thought you were going to just become a monument at school Mr. V! Seriously - Congratulations!!!! I am so happy you are retiring, and will get to enjoy doing the things you love! You are such an amazing teacher, mentor and friend, who touched the lives of so many of us!
Good luck and have a great retirement - come visit Alaska - it's a GREAT state!
For me, Rey Vee was not just a teacher at Selkirk, he was more like THE teacher at Selkirk. It takes a certain knack to get through to a guy like me. Mr V definitely had it. V- thanks for the great years you dedicated to the school district, thanks for all the experiences and knowledge shared, and thanks for the trust you instilled in us.
OMG where do I start. MR V. Well Im very excited that you are going to retire. Its been a long time coming from having my sister Thresa Justice (McReynolds) class of '83 to myself in '94. I know that the school itself is going to miss you. For the students who had you for CWP, we ALL enjoyed your class the most. I can remeber you playing Kenny G during class. Thanks to you I like listening to him too. WOW Congrats on a great teaching career at SELKIRK.
wow how time flies! Mr V you made so many of us students feel like we were people instead of a kid in a class. Now granted my memory is fading in my old age ;} but I do remember the good times and do miss you so. Enjoy the old age days and hopefully you'll get a few years before you're too old to know where you placed the car keys (which by the way I do all the time!). Party Time!

Wow Its hard to believe that after all this time your going to retire. I loved your class. Sometimes when I watch the news I still think of how much fun I would have talking about that in your class. LOL Have fun and keep in touch!
Mr. V, I just wanted to say congratulations on your retirement. I know a lot of people were impacted by your wisdom and your legacy will be unmatched. So, what are you going to do with your time? Is Mrs. V still going to be working? I wish you the best!
Congratulations on the retirement, Mr. V. You are truly an amazing teacher and you inspired me to go forward in life and always achieve my best. All the best to you!!
