I don't know you, you don't know me. I am in San Diego also. If you've got some leave and our schedules allow, my girlfriend and I would be happy to take you out for a beer if you want to get away from the ship. I assume that you are on a ship. Where are you stationed?
Y'know what, on second thought, I'll leave my girlfriend behind and we'll take the 'Vette.
OK Pete I do know who you are. anyways i live in Chula Vista (East Lake) I am on shore duty so I get to be home with the wife and kiddos. But hey I am up for a night out LOL. But need the bosses permision.. lol
Amber Enyeart here class of 007! i am playing college softball at Pierce college. nothing much to say i guess, im new to all this stuff. great idea Randy!
I'm Tracy Lindor class of 1994. Well right now I have three kids Christian 12, Garth 9, Harold 9. I am the Vice President for the Spokane Sea Hawkers Booster Club. It's the booster club for the Seahawks and OMG Qwest Field is the BEST stadium in the NFL.... I have been in Spokane since I graduated. I am currently working for an Accountant who is also my S.O.
It's an up hill battle, but I am doing my best to bring Seahawks fever to San Diego. If the 'Hawx ever meet the Chargers in the Super Bowl, my girlfriend and I will have to break up. She is tried and true Chargers blue. Really though, it's her only fault. If I could just get her to remove the big ol' Chargers flag from the front of her house...
Just in case you were wondering, no I am not a Mariners fan. I am a Padres fan. I never was, nor will I ever be a Mariners fan as they play in the 10-man, not real baseball, wussie league. C'mon! Pitchers don't see an at-bat? What kind of bulls*** is that? If you're going to play the game, play the whole damn game. Mr. V., am I right or what??

Ahh so Jacki Brady was Williams back then went to Selkirk unitl the 9th grade I think......graduated 1988. Best Buds back then: Micky (Michelle now), Jody Grove and Denie Goodwin (if anyone remembers her, She moved away I think in 7th or 8th) Of course Russ Grant, Monty Rice, Louie Bamonte, David Sharp, Steve Curtis....Glen Smith's girlfriend for what 3 years??? Madly in love with then: Danny Zimmerman, Tom Seaver, Andy ?? ( Little bro was Mike)......Last person I ran in to Jackie Enyert, Michelle.... Funny how I remember more friends from Selkirk than I do any other schools.
I graduated from Selkirk in 2001, I then graduated from Carroll College in 2005 with a degree in Psychology. I currently work for the Girl Scouts in Spokane running an afterschool program for at-risk girls. I got engaged about a month ago and we are getting married in October.
Hi there! Amie Miller-- would have been class of '94. Not sure if it's appropriate the I am on the alumni board, but you can blame Randy for inviting me. :) I left Selkirk after my Freshman year to live in Blaine. Came back to the east side to go to school (EWU) and had a stint in subsituting at Selkirk, Cusick and Newport. I am now living over on the west side, enjoying the amenities that Seattle has to offer. I've been teaching middle school for 7 years, still loving every minute of it. I started out teaching social studies (boring!), PE and technology and am now teaching all math, all the time (thank you low WASL scores).
This is Lili Yao from China, and I was in the class of 2000. Hopefully, you guys could remember me. Hi, Mr.V, that was cool that you brought our class to see John McCain, and now he is on vote again for Campaign of President. To Darcee and Mollee, the Beattys, you two are really good on basketball, especially the final shot of Mollee in the State's basketball campaignship,2000.
Well, I am now in China, and still live with my parents and two my dogs. Yes, I saw many of you have kids already, but I am still single.-_-" I have traveled around in China these years, and I really hope you guys can see these not only on the pic. If one of you are going backpacking to China, please let me know. and I am in Shanghai.
Darby Pettis, class of 2000. Have a house in Ione, work in construction down by the Tri-Cities. I am engaged, getting married June 14th. I have 2 "kids", also known as Blue Heelers, Bella and Koal...
Pete- I appreciate the support; thanks so much. To answer your question Karla is my cousin. I never really met you but I know who your Dad is. Years ago, my older brother Eric had mentioned how real his "war stories" were. I actually think he addressed the entire school at one point when I was in Jr High. My memory is not nearly what it was but I recall a story about how He and his Buddies were in the Korean War and wanted to see the front lines until they got there...Anyway your Father's Service to this Great Nation is appreciated as well. I strongly believe that the America's Forces, throughout all generations, have shaped the nation into what it is today.
Shawn- Thanks- I bet I got more sun shinin' here then you guys got there in "Sunny San Diego"
I'm Rhonda (Miller) Schmidlkofer...graduated in 1989. I had to sign-in after reading entries from Pete and Amie -- two of my favorite people in the world...oh yeah, and Mr. V, also!
I kind of hesitate to write an introduction, as I'm actually not an "alumni" of Selkirk so I hope it's okay that I'm in here. Let's say my heart was left there when I had to move in 1983. My graduating class would have been 1987 and I actually made it to the 20-year reunion up there in 2007.
After my mom sold the NAPA store, she drug me to Oklahoma. Life was a LOT different there, but I made the best of it and I think I turned out okay, ha!
Anyhow, it's nice to remember the old days and catch up with some old pals :)
Hello, Im Jim Ramsey from the class of 92 . Currently living in Spokane for the last 10 or 11 years. And I own my own company there. I have been married for 13 years now to my wife Tammy and have 3 great kids. Logan, Wyatt and Garrett.

While not technically an "alumni" of Selkirk, I did attend school in the district from kindergarten through eighth grade. My dad, Mr. Goodwin, taught at the highschool and coached wrestling for 13 years. My mother was a teacher's aide in the Special Education department for a few years and was the wrestling cheerleader advisor. Our family lived in the double wide trailer that used to sit by the football field/metal shop. If we hadn't moved away, I would've graduated with the class of '91.
Our family moved to Pomeroy, Washington at the start of my freshman year. I graduated from Pomeroy in 1991 and obtained my nursing degree from Walla Walla Community College in 1995. I've been living in Seattle and working as a Registered Nurse since then. I am currently engaged and (as yet) have no children.
I was saddened to read of the passings of several people I knew through the years. Mr. Matthews was my 5th and 6th grade teacher. I have very fond memories of class with him - particulary when he would read aloud to us. I still remember facts from the "History of Pend Oreille County" mini course he taught. Chris, your mom Marsha used to cut my hair and I believe my brother took piano lessons from her. I used to play with Julie and was always very envious of her toy oven. Also, I remember thinking you were the best baseball player to ever walk the earth, lol.
Ward Miller was our neighbor who lived about a mile and a half down the road from us. Crystal and I were often in the same class and I spent the night at their house a few times.
Wild Bill was a good man who always kept an eye on my brother and I (whether we liked it or not!) as we played around the grounds of the school. There were always feral cats living in the woods and under/around the school buildings. He would always leave scraps of food for the cats, and knowing I was a fellow animal lover, would take great joy in pointing out all the new kittens he'd discovered throughout the years.
Eric Jozwiak...then Gilligan. I would have been class of 96 if we did not move! But, I have great memories of my time at Selkirk. I am now living in Portland, with my wife Keren and 3 year old son Logan.
I lived in Ione from 79 - 85. That was the best time of my life too. I went to school there, had a lot of friends and played a lot of sports. I graduated in 83', which makes me feel really old after seeing some of the posts on here....haha.
I now live in Coloardo with my husband(Keith) & 3 children. Hannah (12), Hayley (10) and my little surprise Noah (18mo).
I work in a level 1 Trauma Hospital assisting in various surgeries. I specialize in brain and spine. Because I work the 2nd shift, I can be going from Orthopedics to GYN to a Trauma before the night is through.
I love my job and I work with an exceptional group of people. Having someone who's life is drifting away and their chest wide open, really makes you put your life into perspective.
Sandy (Garcia) Wenzel
I have and always will consider Ione my home. You don't know what you had till it's gone and it makes you miss what you no longer have.
Pics - Hannah (12), Noah (18mo) and Hayley (10) this year on Halloween....2009

Hi all ... I'm an industrial maintenance electrician from the NW of England .... Cumbria. Like everyone who sees an example, I fell in love with jumping jet fountains at my first glimpse Your forum has thrown a lifeline to my dreams of building a laminar flow water feature of my own.
