damn! maybe our parents knew something.....

So I was sitting there watching my son earlier and thinking how what he was doing was going to get him killed(basically superhero moves). When this idea came to mind of how my mom used to say you're gonna get yourself killed, or don't eat so many green apples out of the tree they are gonna make you sick!(and of course I ate those apples, hey now there's a diet idea, I must have lost 10 pounds in 2 days!)

I remember thinking how my parents knew nothing cause I did, yet every time what the hell happened? They were right! Now I watch my son and my three nieces and say the same things to them and of course they look at me with that same look I am sure I gave my parents. And what do ya know, they do it anyway.

So here's a topic, can you remember advice or comments your parent(s) made that you just shrugged off but now know better?

...you can't take a skunk to the barn and expect to come back with licorice....

Wait, maybe that was Ross Perot. Or someone impersonating Perot on SNL...those of you who graduated after 97 probably won't get that.

i went the last summer i was there to i think it was lake sullivan(could be wrong on the lake name) with dick and tina shaw and their girls along with other family members. well i have a height issue but gave into their antagonizing and decided to jump off the bridge. you want to talk about the biggest belly flop!!!!i hurt for two weeks from that!

I am sorry mom thats what I am gonna start with..Being the mother of 3 girls, I often wonder why mother didn't smother Milissa and I in our sleep. Girls are testy they test you day to day one day usually more than the day before. and just about the time your thinking "why didn't I become a nun?" your six year old brings you a handful of dandylions and tells you she loves you. But minutes after she giving her younger sister a wedgie thats so bad you cringe when she comes running to tell you about it....ahh parenthood...who would of thought it! I wouldn't give it up for the world though!
