05/ 19/08 This morning I paid 3.91 at the Airport grocery for unleaded gas it is really hard to believe that fuel prices have gone up so drastically. Can you imagine the crunch it has put on families living on minimum wage, independent truckers how about our Nations Farmer's we grow hay for our horses and it is something like 4.65 for diesel it has sent the price of hay way way up many are having to pay 275.00 to 300.00 a ton for hay. for anyone who doesn't know most horses use at least 5 ton or more during the winter so if you feed year round your looking at 2500 a horse. sure hope there none of you have long commutes fruits and vegetables will be going threw the roof this summer. I urge everyone to check out your local farmers and farmers markets. my guess is the prices there will be cheaper than what you are seeing in the stores the quality is always better too so support your local framer .

$3.75 for 89 grade with 10% ethanol. Being in oil country, we are not supposed to complain about fuel prices (yeah, right)....North Dakota is trying to build a refinery, but there is so much red tape involved, they say it may take 10-15 years...
3.75? Randy, I would love to pay 3.75, Even on base I am paying 3.85 for low grade, and Pete the cheapest gas that i have found out in town in clear out in Santee (My wife works out there), but it still cost me 100 to fill out Dodge 1500. With both my wife and I having 50 miles aday commutes these fuel prices are starting to sting.
Costco is usually one of the cheapest in spokane and right now its, 3.61. Not as bad as at home. I cannot believe the prices up there. Here in Cheney the cheapest is 3.75 but I usually try to make it to spokane to fuel up.
Editor's note: This is one in an occasional series of financial what-ifs.
In four years, U.S. gas prices have doubled to more than $3.70 a gallon, and crude oil has tripled to around $125 a barrel. Allowing for inflation, that's higher than prices were during the 197883 oil shock that triggered a recession and sky-high interest rates. But . . .
Just jumped in Williston $0.15 to $3.89. Saw on news that nationally the trend is for prices to jump over holiday weekend, then drop next week. Way to go, gas companies.
"Chicago Gas Prices Highest In U.S. CHICAGO (CBS) Chicago has a dubious distinction: the highest gas prices in the country.
Drivers are experiencing real sticker shock at the pumps. For the first time, the average price of a gallon of gas is more than $4 in Chicago about $4.07 and likely to rise even higher."
I guess small towns with only 8 gas stations don't count. Arcata now averages about $4.35. It's a good thing I don't need to drive.
Oh and that article about airline travel being cheap...its a joke! Nearly every major airline is now charging $25 extra to check in a second bag, United is also charging for the first bag that you may want to check in and I think its also charging for bringing a second carry on bag. Its all because of the higher gas prices that the airline travelers are suffering as well.
well i had to go to coville this morning went down to get fuel from the shell and almost had a heart attack last night fuel was 3.98 this morning 4.16 OMG

Well even on Base it has hit 4.14 I never thought that i would see the day that it would cost 60.00 to fill up my Jeep. We have Dodge 1500 with a 5.9L V-8 that I think I will get rid of very soon cost well over 100.00 to fill that beasty up.
